The Voice Of Fear Vs. The Voice Of Wisdom

As an expert on showing others how to master their emotional fears (you know, those darn fears that wreak havoc on your life -- i.e., fear of rejection, fear of success, fear of failure, etc.), I get asked one question almost daily. Here it is:

"How do you tell the difference between the voice of fear and the voice of your own internal wisdom?"

That confusion is one of the reasons so many people stay stuck for so long. The subtlety between the two is razor thin. Fear can be so clever and so convincing it's hard to tell the difference. But they have two very different goals.

Fear has a job to do: It wants to keep you safe. Wisdom has a job to do: It wants you to expand.

Both want what is best for you... they just go about it VERY differently.

For example: Is it fear motivating you to leave your love relationship... or is that a wise decision? Are you taking your time getting your website up and running because you're being thoughtful... or are you just plain ol' procrastinating? Is that inner wisdom that's kicking in and telling you to take on yet another project... or is that your fear of being lazy convincing you to overcommit?

This confusion about fear vs. wisdom gives you a built-in excuse to doubt yourself. When you doubt yourself, it's precarious at best to trust your decisions. It's the reason you change your mind, give up too soon and don't take the risks you are secretly dying to. Confusion stops you.

I get it. You just want clarity. Me too! I wanted to know FOR SURE if an idea popped into my head, an opportunity was at my door, a decision I had to make was driven by FEAR or was a gift from my inner wisdom. (Another word people use to describe inner wisdom is "intuition.")

In the video below, I am going to share a simple question that you can use anytime. The answer will determine with pinpoint accuracy whether the voice that is whispering to you -- or the feeling in your gut -- is motivated by fear or inspired by your sacred wisdom.

Watch the video now and write down the ONE QUESTION that will clear all this confusion up. And then memorize it. Use the question every day this week as you practice discerning between the voice of fear and the voice of your own inner wisdom.

When you ask yourself the question regularly, it will increase your confidence and trust with every decision you make. Imagine if you trusted yourself and your decisions. What could you accomplish?
